I’m planning to take interviews of entrepreneur & bloggers when ever i get time and publish them on this blog. I think its a great way to learn about the people you are watching everyday or at least few times a month on web.
Today we have Pradeep Kumar with us. Pradeep runs a successful blog HellBound Bloggers (HBB) and a blog network called Slashsquare.
Hi, my name is S.Pradeep Kumar, Founder and Owner of Slashsquare. I’m a Passionate blogger and Irritating engineering student, who enjoys being the former more than the latter.
Slashsquare is a blog network which right now has two blogs under it – HellBound Bloggers (HBB) and HostLater. We have few more ‘yet to be’ launched blogs covering gadgets and movies respectively. We’ll also provide some services and other online media works.
HBB is the first blog I installed WordPress on. It was back on 2010 I believe, I heard many people saying good things about this “WordPress” but I had no idea what it is. At that time I was an energetic newbie blogger, so I didn’t bother to install WordPress and check out what it is.
Initially it was very difficult because all those “PHP”, “MySQL”, etc words were Greek to me. But after understanding the use of each and every section I was pleased to the core. WordPress is something every blogger should have at least tried before he/she dies. You can control the CMS with few commands and make it act according to your wishes.
HellBound Bloggers (HBB) was started to experiment blogging. For few months it was just a blog for me, after that I wanted to make it as a community where people can visit to get their queries cleared and learn more interesting stuffs.
I learned from many people, like their attitude and their discipline, those things helped me to achieved such a position.
I use Social Media and SEO for improving our online businesses. We feel these two can change the reputation of almost anything that is on the web. We also partnered with leading brands like Bitdefender, Fotolia, Shutterstock, Before It’s News, etc for improving Slashsquare.
Yes, I have one main project which will be finalized after my exams. I’ll be launching HellBound Bloggers (HBB) Answers. This is something different from Yahoo! Answers, Quora, and other related sites.
People ask questions and you answer them, this is common, but we are going to reward them whenever their answers picked as the best one. By getting more best answers they can increase their reputation score and after a minimal score they can enter HBB Store, where you’ll be having goodies related to your score. Since I’m not hiring anyone for this, it’ll be taking more some time to get launched unfortunately.
The reason I’m going to launch this is, I can see people commenting on my blog asking for help, but the question will be different from the blog post, and also I don’t want to disappoint our readers by deleting the comments. So this portal will be a good choice for them.
That would be WordPress for sure, because HBB was initially using Google’s Blogger platform. Blogger was great but when comparing it with WordPress it lacked several features. If you want to do it in a professional way then WordPress should be your choice.
If I can go back and change one thing, I’ll be installing WordPress on my blog as earlier as possible and experimenting with it for more benefits.
By seeing the potential of WordPress, it could be the basement for almost all the blogs out there. It will be a MUST have part in every space on the web, like you cannot have a proper website without a domain name and web server, similar to that WordPress will also be a integral part of a website. I appreciate the team for providing us such a wonderful platform to innovate our blogs.
I’m using this tool called “Google Trends” since it helps me to know what keywords people are searching for on a daily basis. Apart from that I’m also using called “Bufferapp” which makes it super easy to share any page you’re reading. I have also implemented it on our new blogs. I use many tools but these two are quite new to my list.
