Overview of Theme Options in TechNews

First question might come to your mind is, ‘Where can i access the Theme Options from?’. You can access the theme option by navigating to Dashboard > Appearance > and then click on ‘Customize’. These are the Real-Time theme options of the theme.

Now, that you know where to access the Customize from, let’s see the Theme Options Overview.

Here is how the Theme Options of NewsPost look like.

We will go through all the options one by one to help you understand the usage of them.

1. GLOBAL

– LOGO

If you would like to use an Image logo instead of the text title then upload the image logo here and the ‘Site Title’ will automatically get disabled. To Upload a logo, Click on ‘No Image’ and then click on select a file. Recommended Logo size is 325×40 (325 pixels width x 40 pixels height)

2. LAYOUT

– BACK TO TOP

Selecting ‘Show’ will display “Back To Top” button on the bottom right side of the website. Selecting ‘Hide’ will disable this feature. See below image for how it looks.

– STYLE: When MAGAZINE option is ON

shows the magazine type of style as shown in the image

-Style: When the BLOG option is ON

Shows the blog type of style as shown in the image

-Layout

Boxed layout shows the website with specified width

Full width layout shows the website with full width

3. HOMEPAGE

– BLOCK # HEADLINE

Enter the text that you want to display above that block

– NUMBER OF POSTS TO BE DISPLAYED

Displays the number of posts to enter in the field.

– BLOCK # CATEGORY

This options let you choose the category from a dropdown menu. Any category that you will choose will display in that block.

4. FOOTER

– ANALYTICS CODE

Paste your Google analytics code here or any other 3rd party Javascript code. Tip: Make sure it is async code so it won’t affect much on your site loading time.

– COPYRIGHT TEXT

Enter your Copyright info in footer.

– powered by link

Enter your Link info in footer.

5. SOCIAL MEDIA ICONS

– TWITTER (OR ANY OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA SITE)

This option has two options that allows you to show or hide the social icon

– TWITTER PROFILE URL (OR ANY OTHER SOCIAL PROFILE URL)

Enter your Social media profile, so when user click that social icon, user will go to this social profile.

6. single post

– TAG

To show TAGS

– SOCIAL AREA

To show social icons in the post

– POSTS NAVIGATION

To show two related posts.

– RELATED CONTENT

Displays related posts

– MORE POSTS

Displays more posts from the website

7. ADVERTISEMENT

Where are these Advertisement options:

8. Background

– BACKGROUND IMAGE

This option allows you to add background image in the website.

– BACKGROUND COLOR

This option allows you to add background color in the website.

9. Color Scheme Editor
It allows you to change the color of the site.

10. ADVANCE SETTINGS

– OPEN GRAPH SEO INTEGRATION

You can enable or disable the OpenGraph SEO settings from here. Tip: If you have installed WordPress SEO or All in One SEO plugin then you need to ‘Disable’ this option.

– MAIN MENU

This option will show the Main Menu in the head section.

12. WIDGETS: FOOTER BLOCK 1, 2 & 3

The footer blocks 1, 2 & 3 are shown in the image.

NOTE: DO NOT FORGET TO ‘SAVE & PUBLISH’ AFTER YOU CHANGE THE SETTINGS

After you have made changes in options, do not forget to save it otherwise you will have to make the changes again.
