Upgrades. In Vegas as in life, some people get ‘em and some people don’t. Here at VegasChatter, we will be chronicling various stories of upgrades (and in some cases, downgrades) in hopes that we can all learn what might increase our chances for a better room.
This is a bit of an unusual upgrade story from one of our readers in that the upgrade happened before the stay. Our Vegas-bound friend writes:
I booked a room at Caesars for one night in May and right before I completed the reservation, I received an offer to upgrade from a Forum Tower Deluxe Room to the Palace Tower Premium Room for free. The Palace Tower Premium Room was originally $55 higher than the Forum Tower Deluxe room. I am by no means a high roller and I haven’t stayed at Caesars in almost two years, so I thought it was weird I was getting this upgrade. The last Caesars property I stayed at was Harrah’s in A.C. in November. I do have a Total Rewards card though, so maybe that was it or maybe they oversold the Forum Tower.
That’s kind of awesome — getting a better quality room for the same price as the room you initially set out to book!
