Wii U gamers weren’t pleased when news broke that Rayman Legends was no longer exclusive to the console. Furthermore, the delay seemed to mostly be fueled by the fact that it’s being ported to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Ubisoft’s decision caused us to contemplate Wii U’s struggle to remain relevant while Nintendo gamers themselves were curious why they couldn’t get the game sooner than their HD twin-playing brethren.
In an attempt to soothe the masses, Ubisoft has revealed that they’re working on an exclusive Wii U demo for the game. “Thanks for all your feedback regarding Rayman Legends in all of its forms,” a post on Ubisoft’s Facebook page reads. “We have heard you and we will continue to listen. We understand your frustration and that you want to get your hands on the game.”
As such, Ubisoft is “working with the development team to provide you with a new, exclusive demo for the Wii U soon. Stay tuned for more.” So there it is. An olive branch.
When we have more information about Rayman Legends’ Wii U-exclusive demo, including a release date, we’ll be sure to let you know.
