It’s another stealth celebrity wedding! According to multiple sources, Scarlett Johansson secretly wed her fiance and baby daddy Romain Dauriac — two entire months ago.
The very private ceremony took place on October 1, and was officiated by Richard J. Miller in Philipsburg, Montana, according to a clerk for Granite County. A source dished to Us Weekly that the wedding took place at the Ranch at Rock Creek.
The wedding was less than a month after the bride and groom welcomed their first child in early September, a daughter named Rose Dorothy. If there wasn’t some sort of adorably decorated baby carriage decked out in white, I’m pretty sure I’m going to cry.
Rumors have been flying that the 30-year-old actress and her French journalist love had tied the knot already, especially after she turned up at a November 18 appearance for the 2nd Annual Champions of Rockaway Hurricane Sandy Benefit in New York City with what appeared to be a wedding ring. A thin band of diamonds was spotted below her stunning engagement ring.
The couple announced their engagement via a rep in September 2013, and after pregnancy news broke the following March, ScarJo made vague reference to getting “married at some point.” Around that time, she told Access Hollywoodabout her wedding plans, “Oh, I don’t plan anything … I’m terrible at planning. I’m not gonna plan anything — I like to wing it!”
No word on whether this was definitely planned or if they totally winged it, but kudos to them for being able to keep the secret for so long. Given what a circus celebrity weddings can be, and the fact they reportedly “both wanted privacy,” I’m happy for them. Congrats!
