We’ve been wondering what Kate Middleton and Prince William have planned for Halloween- a spot of trick or treating at Buckingham Palace perhaps? Kate’s little sis Pippa has given us some clues as to the Duke and Duchess’ October 31st plans as she reveals some spooky childhood memories…

Pippa’s debut book ‘Celebrate’ draws on the Royal in-law’s experience as a party planner but resourceful Pip has also taken inspiration from her childhood with sister Kate.

“As a child, I felt that Halloween was a time when creatures of the night suddenly came to life- we would turn off all the lights in the house and let flickering candlelight conjure up scary shadows and imaginary figures lurking in dark corners”, writes Pippa.

“It was also a time for sugary treats– we feasted on creepy edible morsels, Halloween themed chocolates and spookily named concoctions, which often looked better than they tasted.”

Sounds like the Middleton’s went all out!

Party planning Pip also reveals some details on how she celebrates October 31st as an adult, it doesn’t sound like much has changed with food and family the main ingredients for a spooky night:

“I frequently celebrate Halloween over a supper with friends. It’s a wonderful excuse to let your imagination run riot with gory-looking food and special effects.”

We bet Pippa would throw an amazing Halloween bash- she could even raid Kate’s wardrobe for some costume ideas, throw on the Duchess’ wedding dress and some scary makeup and she’d be the perfect zombie bride!
